Cancer screening camps in all villages and Dental oral screening camps at all industries of Bharuch & Narmada District. Most cancers can be diagnosed at early stages by their signs and symptoms, and early treatment improves outcomes. Examples include breast, cervical, colorectal, and oral cancers. JBMCC has initiated cancer screening camps in 41 villages of Bharuch district with support from the Health Department & CDHO Bharuch. The aim is to screen and spread awareness in peripheries for early diagnosis and provide optimum treatment at JBMCC.
Early detection of cancer greatly increases the chances of successful treatment and better survival. Recognizing possible warning signs of cancer and taking prompt action leads to early diagnosis. JBMCC has started a door-to-door survey in villages, and patients with symptoms are referred to the center for further investigation on suspicion of any cancer symptom/sign.
Counselling of cancer patients can help understand their feelings and reactions, and provides a place to talk about their worries. Mr. Mohammad Gadliwala, an industrialist of Ankleshwar, spends his valuable time counseling patients afflicted with cancer and their family members with unbridled passion and dedication.
JBMCC has initiated a tree plantation drive at Sarv Mangal Udyan. This is done by all our cancer patients who have fought bravely against the disease and emerged as warriors. The aim is to create an optimistic vision of life in the community, showing that by completing the right treatment at the right time, life can be resumed normally and lived well again. Plants are given to patients to plant at their homes.
Health education sessions on various informative topics are organized regularly.
Free transportation services are provided to cancer patients accessing JBMCC facilities. Many patients, especially those from remote areas, face stigma and financial costs when seeking treatment. To encourage patients to adhere to therapy, JBMCC offers free transport facilities.
Currently, accommodation is available at the hospital premises. A new hostel facility near the cancer center is planned to accommodate patients and their relatives.
