Beyond the Scalpel — Advanced Thyroid Cancer Surgery
In one of JBMCC’s most complex surgical cases, a patient presented with a massive Follicular Thyroid Carcinoma — a tumor extending from the chin to the collarbone, critically displacing the airway and major blood vessels of the neck.
Surgical Outcome A total thyroidectomy with neck dissection was performed with precise preservation of vital structures. Despite the complexity, the surgery was successful. Post-surgery, the patient is relieved of breathlessness and recovering well — highlighting the power of advanced oncosurgical care even in advanced cases.
